We have two yoga instructors joining the Team here at Facilitated Healing... please help us welcome Nancy Bauer and Lynn Neu! They will be teaching the yoga classes
now that Ariane is headed to college. <3
Both Nancy and Lynn have been Yoga Instructors here in Watertown for many years, so you may have even taken a class with one or both of them.
They will have three classes each week for the summer, with the new session beginning the week of July 9th. Beginner Yoga with Lynn will be held on Mondays at 5:30 pm. Nancy will lead two Gentle Yoga classes on Tuesdays, at 8:30am and 5:00pm. To register for their upcoming session, please click on the register tab or give us a call at 920-262-2954. You may also drop-in to any class that isn't full, and Class Passes are still welcome. Prices will remain the same for the Summer Session.
Please check out the following information on our new team members. :)
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who has been working with special needs children for almost 30 years, I use my yoga practice as a great way to deal with stress and remain mindful to my students, along wit
h integrating yoga within the classrooms and within small groups.
I began incorporating yoga into my life during college. I began working as a Massage Therapist at the Health Connection, a wellness center associated with the Watertown Area Hospital at the time. They were seeking a yoga instructor, so I took the opportunity to begin teaching in 2000. I then completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training through Yoga Alliance, at Feel Your Best Yoga Studio in Mequon to deepen my understanding of the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of the practice. In addition, I have completed all of the coursework to teach yoga to children through Yoga Calm. Along with continuing education, I immerse myself in a daily yoga practice and self-study of ancient yogic techniques (mindfulness, pranayama, meditation, asana) and philosophies to expand my awareness and continue to improve my yoga instruction.
My mission is to make yoga available to EVERYBODY! If you feel you are not flexible, strong enough, or have too poor of balance to do yoga, all of these are great reasons to come and join my class! I promise you will improve with time and practice! I teach in a slow, mindful manner, incorporating postures, breathwork, meditation and relaxation techniques. After 18 years of teaching yoga, I remain passionate about it and love to help others experience the healing power of yoga!
As a woman and as a mom I find it is so important to take time out for ourselves! We need time to rejuvenate, recharge, and gain “self” so that we can go back into our worlds and give with a better attitude, joy, calmness, and peacefulness.
Practicing yoga has helped me so much physically, mentally, and emotionally. I enjoy teaching new students the practice of yoga and letting them know it’s all about them and what they can do with their bodies, and how to connect with their mind and souls as well. One hour of practice and meditation is always what can help heal us, relax us, and to just let go and be “ME” during that time! I love to see the results new students have after that first hour of class. For the experienced students, I enjoy hearing how they want to continue with yoga and what a difference it makes for them in their lives as well.
I was introduced to yoga right here in Watertown in 2000, and now I will never go back to not having yoga as part of my life! I have been a continuing student for eighteen years and have been teaching Gentle yoga, Beginner’s yoga for nine years, and Kid’s yoga for one year. I did yoga during both of my pregnancies and delivered each of my girls at 38 weeks, on the day I did yoga! Both delivery experiences were natural labor with no medical IV’s or injections, and I practiced Hypnobirthing. I believe in natural health and have grown up with an interest in health and fitness. In my free time I enjoy listening to relaxation music, reading, walking, hiking, and being in nature. I enjoy sandy beaches, being by the water, sitting by a fire, and bonding with family and friends.
I invite you to come and experience the joy of relaxation in yoga to help with your stress, anxieties, frustrations, and also to feel the benefits of stretching your body and holding poses for your benefit. Yoga is ALL about YOU. ~ Namaste ~
